Standard Fruit Company de Honduras, a Dole division in Honduras received «El Premio la Concordia" from the Consejo Hondureño de la Empresa Privada (COHEP) in the category “environment” to feature its good agricultural practices and programs.
UBESA, a Dole division in Ecuador, and the Dale foundation received the "Orrantia Gonzalez" award from the Guayaquil chamber of commerce for their Corporate Social Responsibility programs in the country.

Standard Fruit Company de Costa Rica, a Dole division in Costa Rica, and Dole Thailand received the 2007 'Grand Winner' Award and a 2007 'Excellence Award' from their respective American Chambers of Commerce, for outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) achievements.
The sticker on Dole organic bananas that lets consumers “travel to the origin of each organic product” was featured as one of the top 10 Eco&Sustainability Business Ideas in 2007.
Dole has been commended by the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in the Business Excellence on Tuberculosis category for its work to combat the disease in the Philippines.

Dolefil was recognized by the Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources for demonstrating initiative in improving environmental management practices and performance for the implementation of an Environmental Management System, certification under ISO 14001, and serving as an example for other companies and organizations to emulate.
Dolefil received a citation by the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) for practices supporting the UN Global Compact Initiatives (advocacy on the universal principles of human rights, labor rights and sustainable environment).

Dole Latin America received the Award for Business Excellence from the Latin American Quality Institute for the implementation of environmental and quality management systems in operations throughout Latin America.
In 1998, Dole opened its 180,000 square foot pre-cut salad plant in Springfield, Ohio. A 30,000 square foot addition was inaugurated in 2001. This plant was named "Plant of the Year" in December 2001 by Refrigerated & Frozen Foods magazine for its advanced automation, sanitation and changeover techniques.

Dole Food Company was awarded the Ethical Workplace Award from Social Accountability International (SAI). The award was presented at the Council on Economic Priorities' (CEP) annual Corporate Conscience Awards dinner in New York City by Eileen Kohl Kaufman, Executive Director of SAI. SAI, formerly known as the Council on Economic Priorities Accreditation Agency, is the developer of the international humane workplace standard, Social Accountability 8000 (SA8000).
Standard Fruit de Costa Rica was awarded the Grand Prize in Excellence by the Costa Rican Chamber of Industry, finishing first in five out of the six categories on which participants were judged, including "quality systems and processes", "innovation and technology" and "environmental management".
Dole Costa Rica received the Instituto Nacional de Seguros (National Insurance Institute) Award for its industry-leading occupational safety program.

Standard Fruit de Costa Rica was awarded the Best Community Contributor Award, given by the American Chamber of Commerce of Costa Rica and delivered by the President of the Republic. This award recognizes a company's cooperation towards community development in the social, environment and education fields.
Dole received the "Second Harvest Partnership Award" and the "Hunger's Hope Award" for generous donations to help curb hunger.

• Charitable Giving - In the top ten for its charitable activities. Dole received recognition for its efforts to help Honduran disaster victims and others across Latin America rebuild their lives after the devastation of Hurricane Mitch.

Dole was recognized as an Honor Roll Company in recognition of its overall social and environmental performance. Honor Role companies receive the highest scores in eight corporate responsibility issue areas: Environmental programs, women's advancement, minority advancement, charitable giving, community outreach, family benefits, social disclosure and workplace issues. We are proud of this achievement: out of 250 companies rated in 1998, only 22 others received Honor Roll designation.
